About

Life is a journey, not a destination.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

In senior care, change is constant. When it comes to aging, taking care of our health and well-being has never been more critical. Connie Ryan, the driving force behind Journey Care Coordinating, LLC, has discovered that the senior care industry can offer more to our senior community.

Connie’s journey began in Home Care, where she saw the evolving needs of seniors. Since 2016, she has worked with over 300 families across the country. Fueled by her passion to provide comprehensive care and caregiver training that goes beyond the basics, Connie set out to redefine how we approach caring for our senior loved ones by providing a place for people to discuss their needs, make a holistic plan, and work with quality local resources.

At Journey Care Coordinating LLC, Connie’s mission is clear – it’s not just about meeting basic needs; it’s about guiding caregivers and individuals on a journey towards hope, balance, health, and wholeness. Her vision has transformed the way we think about care, emphasizing not only physical health but also mental and emotional wellness.

Connie’s impact doesn’t stop there. Seniors face incredible obstacles to healthy aging. She’s a tireless advocate for seniors, working to raise awareness and champion important causes such as emergency services, affordable senior housing (especially for Veterans), and the availability of quality resources.

Connie Ryan’s dedication and innovative approach at Journey Care Coordinating, LLC have made a significant difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

Community Involvement

Since 2021, Connie Ryan has been an active force in the Colorado Springs community, working passionately on initiatives that enrich the lives of seniors and foster a sense of togetherness. Through working with families daily, Connie understands the battles they face in aging and caregiving and can tailor events to educate on relevant and important topics.

Evidence of this commitment can be seen by attending one of her free educational events, also known as the Proactive Living Series. Working alongside other senior professionals, this series, finishing up its 2nd successful year, brings seniors and experts together for meaningful discussions. These events, held at public libraries, the Senior Center, and YMCA locations, have become vital hubs of knowledge and connection.

Collaboration with industry professionals has allowed Connie to co-create other engaging events like the Summer Concert Series, hosted by various care facilities throughout Colorado Springs. These events infuse joy and camaraderie into our community.

Volunteer work with Silver Key Senior Services Meals on Wheels program, and active participation in the Marketing and Admissions networking group underscore Connie’s dedication to making senior care more accessible. Her compassionate spirit extends to her involvement in the annual Alzheimer’s Association Walk, where she walks in unity with others to combat this devastating disease.

Earlier in 2023, Connie’s outstanding contributions earned her a nomination for the Joe Henjum Accolades Award presented by the Senior Resource Council.

On November 1, 2023 Connie was awarded the Mayor’s Young Leader Award for her work in the community.
